I am especially interested in how creative practice (i.e. doujinshi (同人誌), fan work, fan art) flourishes among manga fans, how it relates to nurturing creativity, and the relationship between manga authors/artists, publishers, and fans.
Field(s) of Interest: I am interested in Manga, fan fiction, Arts-Based Research (ABR), post-qualitative inquiry, new materialism, posthumanism**,** creativity, multimodal literature, graphic novels, visuals, and culture of contemporary Japan.
